Care and cleaning - Hand wash with soap and water, rinse well and dry immediately. We recommend laying them on an unlined cookie sheet and putting them in the oven at 350 degrees for 2 to 3 minutes.
 
This cookie cutter is a traditional Czech Vykrajovacky Smolik Cookie Cutter that is used mainly in making Pernicky. In the Czech Republic, the Pernicky cookies initially appeared in 1335, when they were mainly enjoyed as a dessert or as a thickening agent in savory sauces. Today, these crispy and fragrant cookies are appreciated for their amazing artistic value, and the lavish decorations make them a unique, edible artwork.
 
The company that makes these cutters is the Smolik Company. It is located in The Czech Republic and is a family owned business. They ship their cutters all over Europe. These cutters are not available anywhere else in the United States, and Teesa's Baking Supplies is excited to be able to partner with the Smolik Company to bring these wonderful cutters and the tradition of the beautiful Pernicky to the U.S. 
 
Please Note - Some of the sizes of the Czech cutters are much smaller than those that are traditionally used in the U.S. Because of this, please make sure you check the size, and make sure the size you are purchasing is appropriate for your needs.
